should I stay or should I go?

There are many crossroads in life.Times when one must determine their course and a decision must be made. Will I stay or will I go?You can choose either path and neither is clearly wrong or devastating, but which one you choose will determine the course of your life and the rate of your growth. Many of you are in a season of transitions - going off to college, getting a job in the real world, getting married, having a first child (or third or fourth), and the list goes on (hopefully in this order).

Times will be tough - John 16:33 tells you that much, but it also says that you can have confidence to overcome because Christ already overcame the world on your behalf. Seize the day. Take the challenges today offers and make them opportunities for growth - all it requires is an attitude check and a perspective change (easy, right?).

You can wallow in pity, self-doubt, disillusionment, fear, and feed a complaining spirit OR you can choose to see the obstacle as a divine opportunity to grow stronger, develop character, build your faith and confidence, and to mature. You may not like your circumstances today and you always have the choice to run from them, but if there is a lesson to be learned in the challenge it will find you at another crossroad and you will have to once again choose which way you will go.

The reward of "going" is often immediate relief and pleasure, but the fulfillment can be superficial and temporal. The reward of "staying" is incredible growth, if you maintain a positive attitude and trust your future to God.

I pray that today, when you face a trial or a challenge, whether in school, work, family, ministry, or other relationships that you will consider the cost of staying versus going and you will have the boldness to stay.I am praying that as you STAY the blessing for you will be exceedingly abundantly beyond all that you ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:21).

May God give you the strength to stand in the midst of adversity so that your spiritual muscles flourish and your ministry opportunities multiply. Make your life count - grow where you are planted!

Which way will YOU go?

will, it is definitely great to hear from you.

when i think of making decisions like this, i think of paul's comment about how everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. i feel the majority of decisions we make in a day are not necessarily whether or not we will "sin," but more whether or not we will choose God's best. choosing to run from growth might not be violating any of God's commandments, but if we seek God in these decisions, i've found the answer is usually clear.

keep the wisdom coming. thanks for everything
